Hello!
Starting in March 2020, when everything went virtual, I started making lesson plans for my families. I came up with themes and digital activities for them to do outside of therapy. I wrote a short blurb describing how to incorporate speech and language into each activity. I decided to keep all of these and store them, in case I needed them in the future.
Well... I am so glad I did. I am able to share these with you. Here is my dinosaur lesson plan:
Books:
Pete the Cat Cavecat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzrJOoiL4DI Never Let a Dinosaur Scribble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5sUhv50Utg
Stomp Dinosaur Stomp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADqdWSJ6Dt0 How Do Dinosaurs Say I’m Mad? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkUazp3gJCA How Do Dinosaurs Keep Friends? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyaXjZFKFHw
Throughout the stories, ask your child yes/no, who, what, where, why, or when questions, depending on their goals. You can describe actions and objects on each page. After the book, you can work on sequencing by retelling the book with or without the pictures.
Songs: These songs are found on YouTube. I embedded them on a website so there are no advertisements and doesn’t automatically go to the next song, if you want to control what your child watches on YouTube
